A good seminar!

Filed under: General, financial — feyma @ 6:20 pm

Two days ago Bob had a seminar here at our house. Supposed to be it should be held at one of the function rooms at K1. Needless to say K1 didn’t even know we existed when we went there the day before to check everything out. Luckily Bob decided to checked it out before the seminar. It would be embarrassing going there and we are not booked. My goodness I called them up a month ago to booked the seminar. I told them and explained to them what room I want. They said okay. Luckily no one was booked on the date that we said. So that thing was solve. Then Bob ask them if we could try to hooked up his laptop to their plasma TV? They said sure, you know what it didn’t work. Somehow a lot of the plug in it is hidden in the back and they hooked the TV right in the wall. You can’t go through the plug in. So Bob thought okay we will just use the projector. They said okay. When Bob tried the internet it didn’t work. Bob can’t have the seminar without the internet connection. Gosh, I was sitting in the couch there thinking Oh Lord we’re doomed. Lots of stuff played my mind on what are we going to do then?

While Bob was talking to the tech guy there, I was thinking maybe we could have the seminar at our house. We could tell that the guy just don’t know what to do. Bob called up his partner for the seminar and told him the problem. He also said that what if the seminar be held at our house. So that night me and my people in the house were busy preparing the room for the seminar. You know what it was a hard work but it turn out good. The people that attended told us they like it because it felt so homey. They said they like it better here.

To all that came thank you so much for coming and the support. It’s also nice meeting you guys. I know a lot of you are tired from the trip. I hope you guys learned a lot from it.

Mabuhay and God bless!

Frank’s aftermath!

Filed under: General — feyma @ 7:46 am

Last week the Philippines was hit by a bad typhoon. It leaves a lot of people homeless and causing a lot of death. A ship that sail from Manila bound for Cebu didn’t make it through the trip. The ship sank in Romblon, an island in Southern Luzon.

The sad part the ship’s captain didn’t bother to just tell his big boss that his ship can’t sail due to typhoon. Passengers board the ship without knowing that bad weather is coming. Some people I think blame the coast guard why they didn’t bother to stop the ship too. Lot of the family of the passengers now are really mad at the ship owner. Honestly I can’t blame them. They are frustrated right now because no one will really give them good answer why the ship was allowed to sail with bad weather on the way.

I was watching on news on tv and they are showing the ship how big it is before the wreck. The report said that the ship size is like 7th story building. Now looking at it after the wreck it looks like just the bottom tip of it that you can see, the rest is under the water. The whole ship almost sank down. Can you imagine all the people inside the ship when its starting to go down the water. It’s really heartbreaking. I hope that they will recover all the dead people inside so that the family will have peace of mind.

Sad news!

Filed under: Family — feyma @ 8:15 am

Well, from my previous post I wrote about my niece’s daughter who got very sick. Sad to tell you that she did passed away a few days being in the hospital. It’s been hard to my niece, but I think it’s better for her daughter to rest than really suffer. At least she’s with God now. I think it also taught some lesson to my niece and her husband especially to be responsible parent. I hope that they really would take care the remaining three kids they have right now.

For those people that pray for her thank you very much.

So long Gwen!

Heavy heart

Filed under: Family — feyma @ 5:48 am

I found out from my family in General Santos that one of my niece’s daughter got ill since yesterday. They told me that the baby has meningitis. I didn’t really know what it was until last week when I went to a hospital here and heard somebody screaming inside the emergency room. I asked the doctor what was wrong with the lady. He told me that the lady has meningitis. Gosh, just remembering the pain on that lady and here we are we have a baby that has it. My sister said that the baby might not make it. It’s hard for me to think the pain the baby is going through. Just typing this blog is hard for me thinking that my niece are in pain right now. I hope that God will ease their pain.

It’s hard thinking that the baby might be gone. When I saw her last she was a good and healthy baby. My other siblings are even telling me that its hard for them if something will really happen to the baby. One of my sister even baby sit that baby. I am not sure what my mom will even think. Not sure if they will tell her though. My mom’s been sickly for awhile now. She has stroke like 5 years ago. Not sure if she can handle it if something will really happen to the baby.

Anyway, I ask you guys prayer for the baby. I do hope miracles will happen. To you baby Gwen, we love you. I hope you will feel better. I hope and pray that God will touch you and heal you.

WE LOVE YOU GWEN!!!

Summer is coming!

Filed under: School — feyma @ 8:34 am

Wow, its almost the end of school here in the Philippines. Ateneo used to end their school before the middle of March, but now I guess towards the end of the month. Our kids are busy reviewing for their final examination. Gosh, the making of projects are endless. I have to think of something to do for our kids during summer. I want them to be busy so that they will be active though. Two of my kids are hooked to regular Exbox, Exbox 360 and PSP and of course their computer.  We want that they have to minimize in using those gadget. We want them to be healthy too. So we will have to enroll them I think with the swimming. Also they can go walking in our neighborhood or going to the mall just maybe 15 minutes walk away from our house.

Our oldest son is in my parents farm right now. He might help my family there for our copra farm. He loves it there. I will try to bring the rest of the kids maybe like April to harvest some other crops too. Maybe they will learn in feeding the pigs, chickens, geese, and carabao too. It would be the first for them. I would like to see the reaction of my kids when their riding the carabao. That would be fun for them. I hope anyway.

Valentines Day aftermath!

Filed under: General — feyma @ 7:31 am

Wow, we really are busy during Valentines day. Our agents all over the Philippines did finish up delivering till 9pm. Our local courier also was busy delivering our packages that we just ship and was ship few days before and they are holding it for us to deliver on the 14th. Grabe ang order sa roses. We are really pleased with the outcome.

It’s really a big day here in the Philippines during this day. The restaurant are packed, also the park. They just open a new park here in Davao. We pass by during valentines day it was loaded with people. I’m glad though that no incidents happened. Unlike the previous years that their was a bombing during valentines day. I’m glad that people get to celebrate with their love ones.

Me and my hubby we didn’t go anywhere for a date. We have to help our people here on our business. We always celebrate later. Still we had fun though. Oh well, that was quiet a day for us. The kids had fun opening their presents and card. Thats the one that matter the most. They are happy.

Hope you guys had a wonderful valentines date. Save up for next year. ;-)

Happy New Year to everyone. I do hope that the year 2008 is much better than the previous year. I’m also hoping that peace will still be in the hearts and mind of all the people in the world. With the economy not in good shape right now, we hope that in the next year it will get better. With the people here thats struggling just to even put food in the table 3 times a day, I hope that they can provide more to their family. I’m just hoping and praying for that.

To all of you out there Have a wonderful New Year celebration. Stay safe everyone.

Sad news!

Filed under: General — feyma @ 4:30 am

A few days ago I posted a story about the older lady that was riding a motorcycle. Her son was the one driving and she’s the passenger. I said on my post that she was brought to the hospital by the police. The police turn out to be the the brother-in-law of our friend. Yesterday I went to the house of these friend I was talking about and I asked them if they heard from their brother-in-law whose a police about whats the status of the lady that got the accident. My friend said that those people the lady and her son was a neighbor of their friend. My friends friend said that the lady died the next day after the accidents. She really had a bad head injury. My heart really goes out to those family. I wasn’t shocked that she died, but seeing her there at the scene makes it hard for me not to think of her.

I heard now that the son was trying to overtake some car and he went out of control. Thats why when we saw them they are already in the other side of the road. I ‘m sure the son felt bad about it. While seeing him at the scene of the accident he was already screaming and calling his mom. We told him not to move his mom around because we didn’t know she might have a neck injury or something.

I hope that those people that saw them learned a lesson to really wear a good and proper gear to ride the motorcycle. It did open my eyes a lot not to let my family ride motorcycle without good helmet and shoes.

To the lady may you rest in peace.
