Eating out with friends

Few days ago Bob, myself, John, Steve and their friend Harold meet up to have dinner. We decided to eat dinner at the Mediterranean Cafe at Chimes Mall in Governor Sales Street. It is really a good restaurant. We ordered some gyro llamb sandwich in peta bread. It was delicious. When we ordered we told the waiter that the gyro we want it to be our appetizer so we wanted him to bring that first. It didn't happen he brought our main course first instead. Grocery shopping

I went grocery shopping today at our local mall here. I was shocked to see how much imported stuff they have now. I like it because I got so many choices now. They must have like three ailes now just for the imported stuff. I bought like half imported items on our groceries. It's kind of spendy though. I bought like a bag of chex mix it cost over 200 pesos, Macaroni and cheese 89pesos, ravioli 99pesos. I was also shocked to see that the prices are still too high yet the value of the dollar is getting lower. Even the prices of the local foods here were mark too high. Kids subjects in school

I was shock today when my daughter brought her books to me. She showed me one particular book about the reproductive systems. My gosh I had that subjects in class during my college days. I didn't expect their now teaching this subject to a young kids. I asked my son about it because his studying in a different school and he then told me that they had that very same subject too. It's really different nowadays, I guess more parents now are open about this subjects than before. I like it so that kids will learn early. They are more mature nowadays in mind. Special Day for Dads

Happy Father's Day to all of you fathers out there. Wow, tomorrow is a special day for Bob. The kids and I have to think of something special to do for Dad tomorrow. Tonight they slept late because they are making a good surprise for daddy. I am sure he would be happy to see tomorrow what the kids are making for him. I am proud to say that Bob is really the best Dad. He really takes the time off to spend time with our kids. He also bring one kid at a time for date so that they could talk and just have father and son/daughter time. Eating place

Last night Bob and I decided to eat out for dinner. We went and tried to eat at the new restaurant called TONG YANG which is located at the Chimes mall in Gov. Sales St. I didn't know at first what they have. When we went inside the waiter told us what we have to do. When we first set down we notice that there was a burner built into the table, the waiter turn it on. Then he gave us the menu, in the menu their must be like 80 items or so in it to chose from. Shocking news

My husband and I value the educations of our kids. Since I have lots of nieces and nephews, Bob and I decided to try to help some of them. So since living here for over seven years now, we've been helping them. One of them lived with my parents since she was just a baby. When my Dad got ill I promised him that I will take care of my niece that lived with us and I will be the one responsible for her going to school. When Bob and I got married we did fulfill what we promised to my mom and dad. We did sent that niece of mine to a good school in high school and in college.
