To My Beloved Mom!

My mom is turning 80 years old this coming December. Right now she’s really sick. Honestly she could go anytime now. Just 3 years after coming back here to lived for good my mom had stroke. She did recover after that, but she didn’t really take care of herself that much that she got ill again. She didn’t get better after another stroke. She didn’t really listen to the advice of the doctor. Bob and I even hire a physical therapist to come to our house everyday to work on her. My goodness just after a month she fired the therapist. I was wondering why the therapist didn’t come that day for her session, so I called her up and told her why she’s not at my house for Mama’s therapy. She didn’t told me that Mama told her to not come back because Mama’s going to the farm in GenSan. I was shocked. I told the therapist that its not true, that my mom still at the house. I just didn’t force my mom to had the therapy.

MamaAnyway, now she’s not looking good. She’s not eating too. My sister told me that she’s really in a lot of pain now. She can’t even sit down now on her wheel chair by herself. She can’t swallow her food now too. My sis just try to make everything into soup but still she had a hard time swallowing. I think its almost time for her to rest it really showed in her face. Really I pray that she will be happy seeing my dad soon.

To Mama: We really love you a lot. I know that Papa is happily waiting for you. All of your grand kids and great grand kids and your sons and daughters-in-law loves you very much too. Thank you so much for loving us and taking care of us. I was really happy that we came back here and my kids know you better. Bob’s mom also loves you very much even though you guys can’t communicate. Through you guys actions the love was really there. Bob really loves you a lot too. He always told me that your the only family I had that he felt that really loves him.

Mama I really love you. While typing this I was crying. Sometimes I felt that I wished I should have been the older kid of yours so that I have a longer time to spent with you and Papa. But being the youngest was special too. I was really loved by you both. From the bottom of my heart I always love you. You are the reason why me and my siblings are still together.

I LOVE YOU MAMA!

Our Sarangani Farm!

During summer breaks of my kids this year, we went to my parents farm in Patag, Malapatan, Sarangani Province. Just less than 30 minutes drive from General Santos City. Its a place where I was born. Patag is a small barrio. I don’t even know the population there. This is the first time that my 3 kids went there. They really had fun going swimming with their cousins(Leo, Glenrose, Cyril, Emmanuel, Joshua, David, Nichole, and Sahara. They probably would have stayed on that river for a long time if not that its getting dark. They really like to jump from that coconut tree thats just floating in the middle of the river. As you can see on the picture the water is not that deep. Its really good for the kids to take a dip. My youngest son likes to dig under water and get some sand and rocks. He likes to collect different shape of small rocks. As a matter of fact my niece and sister had to come back to the river because Jared my youngest forgot to bring with him when he went home to my sister’s house his rock collection. He left it at the side of the river. He was really glad that my sister and niece found it. I wonder what would be his reaction if he felt the small crabs under the rocks? I think he might be freak out a little bit. He doesn’t really like to touch those.

One of the highlights of our trip was the Kariton(cart pulled by the carabao) ride. The kids like it. That was the first time they experience riding it. They were really amazed. The kariton it should be used to get coconut or any stuff from the farm. Sometimes they want to just keep on riding it, but we have to let them stop so that the Carabao can rest for awhile. The kariton is really a big hit for the kids. Even now at our house they even talk about it and sometimes asked me when are we going back to visit the farm again. Honestly we were thinking of going back there a few weeks ago, but canceled it due to some fighting in the Sarangani area. We just felt that its not the right time to go anywhere at the moment. Just to be safe though. One of our friend almost hit by the bombing in Digos. If he would have arrived like 5 minutes early, his bus that he was riding would have been hit too. So it just scared me a little bit. Hopefully it will be fine soon. We will visit there again soon. I want to visit my ailing mom. I want to see her as much as I can now. She’s turning 80 years old in December and bee through a lot.

The kids also went and pick out some veggies. They had fun picking them. The only thing they don’t know how to pick the ready or not. My sister just try to let them get what they want from the garden. Thats the first time the kids ever harvested anything. They also familiarized then the different kinds of veggies in our farm. They really like it there. They told my family that next summer they want to stay in the farm for a month. They also want to help harvesting the coconut and corn.

Really I am looking forward for that. Will see though. I am also glad that they the place that I grow up. They want that we will build a small house there for us to stay whenever we want to visit there. We might. Who knows.

To my family thank you so much for taking care of us while there. I know its extra work for you guys. I love you all!

Sad news!

Well, from my previous post I wrote about my niece’s daughter who got very sick. Sad to tell you that she did passed away a few days being in the hospital. It’s been hard to my niece, but I think it’s better for her daughter to rest than really suffer. At least she’s with God now. I think it also taught some lesson to my niece and her husband especially to be responsible parent. I hope that they really would take care the remaining three kids they have right now.

For those people that pray for her thank you very much.

So long Gwen!

Heavy heart

I found out from my family in General Santos that one of my niece’s daughter got ill since yesterday. They told me that the baby has meningitis. I didn’t really know what it was until last week when I went to a hospital here and heard somebody screaming inside the emergency room. I asked the doctor what was wrong with the lady. He told me that the lady has meningitis. Gosh, just remembering the pain on that lady and here we are we have a baby that has it. My sister said that the baby might not make it. It’s hard for me to think the pain the baby is going through. Just typing this blog is hard for me thinking that my niece are in pain right now. I hope that God will ease their pain.

It’s hard thinking that the baby might be gone. When I saw her last she was a good and healthy baby. My other siblings are even telling me that its hard for them if something will really happen to the baby. One of my sister even baby sit that baby. I am not sure what my mom will even think. Not sure if they will tell her though. My mom’s been sickly for awhile now. She has stroke like 5 years ago. Not sure if she can handle it if something will really happen to the baby.

Anyway, I ask you guys prayer for the baby. I do hope miracles will happen. To you baby Gwen, we love you. I hope you will feel better. I hope and pray that God will touch you and heal you.

WE LOVE YOU GWEN!!!

Our new baby!

A few weeks ago we got a puppy from our friend Klaus and Rosana. Upon seeing at their house prior to getting her, Bob and I always thought that the puppies are really cute. They are very clean too. We really like it a lot. Later as the days goes by when Bob and I went to their house. We really did admired the puppies more and more. So finally one day we decided to surprised our kids, Bob asked me to call up Klaus and Rosana and asked them if they could give us one puppy? Rose then told me that she will ask Mutti( German for mom) if they could give away one puppy. Rose got on the phone again and told me that Mutti said it’s okay because she really like us that’s why shes giving us one. Wow, we were so happy she gave us one.

chichi23.JPGThe kids were really shocked when we brought Chi Chi( that’s our puppies name) home. They really are happy and in love with her. She just roam around our yard and following our other dog Fluffy. They are cute together. We think that Fluffy is a bit jealous of Chi Chi since everybody pay close more attention on the little puppy than her. We tried to pet her more now, we don’t want her to feel left out though. We love all our pets. Next time I will feature all our pet here in the house on these blog. Have fun looking at Chi Chi.
