Christmas shopping!

Wow, it’s December again soon time for shopping of course. I just can’t believe it that the 2007 is almost ending. As if it was just yesterday that we celebrated the 2006 Christmas. Time really fly so quickly. I felt I was just shopping from Christmas last year. I have to get busy in the next few days because this is also the time of the year for our business to get going. I have to shop for my mother-in-laws gifts to our kids too. She didn’t send the balikbayan boxes this year because she was here in the Philippines from August-October. When she went back to the States it’s too late for her to send. Last Christmas she was here with us. The kids had a ball.

Tomorrow I will be decorating my Christmas tree. Usually I do the decorations after the Thanksgiving celebration. I was debating if I should put up my Dickens village. Will see on that, if I have lots of time, I will. My nieces and nephew will help on that too. The hard part for me is putting the Christmas lights. I usually have 3 thousand plus lights on my 8 feet tall tree. Gosh I’m dreading by just thinking about it. I have to work overtime on this though. Oh well, after I’m done I like the feeling seeing the smile on my kids. It’s a joy to me seeing them happy and proud of what I’ve accomplish.

To everyone happy shopping! Cheers!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow, another year to celebrate Thanksgiving again. Being here in the Philippines for over 7 years now, It’s so good to celebrate it here nowadays. I can pretty much buy everything I need to prepare and cook for Thanksgiving. Unlike when we first move here, being in General Santos at that time it’s hard to get a good turkey. We bought turkey through our neighbor. The turkey is not that good, very tough we just had the native one. Now, practically every mall in Davao has a butterball turkey and the yams and pumpkin.

Today supposed to be the Thanksgiving, but we will celebrate it this coming Saturday. The kids are in school today, so we moved it to Saturday instead so that the kids will have fun, no school the next day too. We invited some of our closest friends here in Davao. I am really excited to prepare and cook for them. Some of them it is their first time to celebrate Thanksgiving because they are from Europe. They are looking forward on it.

I’m going to prepare mash potato, beans, yams, and of course stuffing. I’m baking pumpkin pie. The turkey we like it to be roasted. It’s really yummy when cook like that. I used to bake them in the oven, but when we tried the roasted one we decided to stick with the roasted one instead. We will have 2 turkey since we have some company. I will make lemon meringue pie since one of my son likes it so much. I will post some pictures of our Thanksgiving day celebration here sometime.

Hope you all have a good celebration!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

Our new baby!

A few weeks ago we got a puppy from our friend Klaus and Rosana. Upon seeing at their house prior to getting her, Bob and I always thought that the puppies are really cute. They are very clean too. We really like it a lot. Later as the days goes by when Bob and I went to their house. We really did admired the puppies more and more. So finally one day we decided to surprised our kids, Bob asked me to call up Klaus and Rosana and asked them if they could give us one puppy? Rose then told me that she will ask Mutti( German for mom) if they could give away one puppy. Rose got on the phone again and told me that Mutti said it’s okay because she really like us that’s why shes giving us one. Wow, we were so happy she gave us one.

chichi23.JPGThe kids were really shocked when we brought Chi Chi( that’s our puppies name) home. They really are happy and in love with her. She just roam around our yard and following our other dog Fluffy. They are cute together. We think that Fluffy is a bit jealous of Chi Chi since everybody pay close more attention on the little puppy than her. We tried to pet her more now, we don’t want her to feel left out though. We love all our pets. Next time I will feature all our pet here in the house on these blog. Have fun looking at Chi Chi.

Kids birthday party!

Last week was a big event for us here in our house. It’s the birthday of our daughter JeanJean. She turn 11 last week. Prior to her birthday we brought her to a resort in Matina for her to see if she wanted to celebrate her birthday party there. When we enter the place and she saw they had pool and the view was spectacular. She then turn around and told My husband Bob and me that she wants her party there. The name of the place is Felis Resort. It’s just 5 minutes away from SM.

Then we just had another party yesterday for our son Aaron. He is 11 years old too. Before seeing the place Aaron was so sure that he wants his party to be held in our house because we have lots of games and activities to choose from in the house, like xbox, xbox 360, psp, ps2, computer games, basketball and trampuline.

the kidsHe changed his mind quickly after seeing the pool at Felis. They really like to swim. The menu for the kids party was good too. Lots of food for them to choose from. Basically, you can choose 3 different foods and 1 dessert including 1 drink. For that we paid 250 pesos per person. Not bad though. With the swimming it’s 60pesos per person. They table was arrange nicely and the food was set like a buffet style. It was really nice and clean. Now our other 2 kids wants their party to be there too. I really highly recommend Felis for party and seminars.

I’m really happy seeing the kids having fun there.ย  We had fun watching them swim. We’re even thinking of having our Thanksgiving party there so that we can invite a lot of our friends. That would be fun. Don’t you think?

Maybe see you at Felis guys.

Good Facial

Last week my mother-in-law and I went for facial at Blooms. You can find this place in Rizal Street. The owner’s name is Golda. She’s very nice lady. I’ve been going to this place for over 2 years now. So it really shows that they are good. They do lots of stuff like facials, foot massage, whole body massage, stone massage, wart removal, something to reduce wrinkle I forgot what they called there and many more. They had like menu that they will show to customer when a customer walks in there. They also sells soaps and cream too. I notice they are now selling make up thats good for those people that have sensitive skin. I’m one of them, but I’m not a customer of make up because I don’t wear them. I just buy the cream and soap for my sensitive skin. I should go there at least twice a month because I get pimples easy. I had a lady there that knows how to pamper my face. I always go for facial for sensitive skin. I paid 600 pesos. Not bad huh?

Now I’m trying to bring my oldest son there. He has skin like mine very sensitive. I want that he won’t have lots of pimples. His almost 16 years old now. His too handsome to have face problems. (Hey I can’t help it I have to brag). ๐Ÿ˜‰

My mother-in-law she had facial there. She likes it a lot. She told me she wants to have facial there every week while in Davao. So we are going back tomorrow for that again. Good thing she paid for my facial. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Can’t complain for that. Thanks Mom.

Anyway, If you guys ever come to Davao for a vacation try to visit BLOOMS. Let me know what you think?

Have a good day!
