Summer is coming!

Wow, its almost the end of school here in the Philippines. Ateneo used to end their school before the middle of March, but now I guess towards the end of the month. Our kids are busy reviewing for their final examination. Gosh, the making of projects are endless. I have to think of something to do for our kids during summer. I want them to be busy so that they will be active though. Two of my kids are hooked to regular Exbox, Exbox 360 and PSP and of course their computer.  We want that they have to minimize in using those gadget. We want them to be healthy too. So we will have to enroll them I think with the swimming. Also they can go walking in our neighborhood or going to the mall just maybe 15 minutes walk away from our house.

Our oldest son is in my parents farm right now. He might help my family there for our copra farm. He loves it there. I will try to bring the rest of the kids maybe like April to harvest some other crops too. Maybe they will learn in feeding the pigs, chickens, geese, and carabao too. It would be the first for them. I would like to see the reaction of my kids when their riding the carabao. That would be fun for them. I hope anyway.

Kids subjects in school

I was shock today when my daughter brought her books to me. She showed me one particular book about the reproductive systems. My gosh I had that subjects in class during my college days. I didn’t expect their now teaching this subject to a young kids. I asked my son about it because his studying in a different school and he then told me that they had that very same subject too. It’s really different nowadays, I guess more parents now are open about this subjects than before. I like it so that kids will learn early. They are more mature nowadays in mind. I think because of good technology now. They learn from internet and what they are watching on tv. I’m just hoping they would not get curious and try it. Oh boy that would be a big problem then.

I just hope that my kids and my nieces and nephew really had a big lesson from other niece that had a baby early this year and she’s not ready yet to have one. Honestly I felt sorry for the baby. I just hope and pray that the baby will have good education and good life someday. That she won’t suffer in life.

Hopefully this is a good education for the kids now. If they won’t watch out what they are doing they will face the consequences. It would be an eye opener for everybody then. I know it did for us here in our house.

School starts soon

Wow, I can’t believe it that it’s already the end of summer here. Our kids will go back to school on monday. It would be a start for us to be busy. Our kids have to wake up at 5:30am because they had to be in school by 7:40am, be there till 3:30pm. Since the Bankerohan bridge was damaged I am not sure what time would the carpool guy pick them up. I have to talk to him about the schedule. It really worries me that the kids might have to get up earlier than 5:30 now due to the damage of the bridge. I hope not though. I heard talks from the taxi driver that it might take like two years for the bridge to be fix. Gosh, that would really be a headache for the commuters because the traffic is gonna be heavy every morning especially when school starting. Hopefully the government officials will do something in their power to have the bridge fix soon. Let’s just cross our fingers I guess.

I was watching the news awhile ago aand saw people just flock to the mall and buy the school supplies and uniforms. They also hit some bargains. I am gonna be one of those people. I will shop tomorrow. ;-). Hey I am just trying to save some more, as you know the prices here really hits high almost double and more on some stuff since we move here seven years ago. Happy shopping to all of you that lives here in the Philippines.

Good luck to everyone.
